We are based in Boston, Lincolnshire. Ascend Medical offers medical examinations for pilots, flight crew, drivers, riders and other sportsmen. These include CAA Class 2, LAPL and Cabin Crew medicals, FAA Class 1,2, and 3 medicals, DVLA D4 HGV and PSV medicals, local authority taxi medicals, motor racing and parachuting medicals.

General guidance on medicals at Melbourne House
- When planning your journey, please allow for slow agricultural traffic.
- Photo ID is required for all medicals.
- Contact lens wearers should wear spectacles to the appointment, and bring your contacts with you.
- Spectacle and contact wearers must bring an uptodate spectacle prescription.
- A urine specimen will be required; it is permissible to bring this with you.
- Pilots for CAA medicals must complete an application on Cellma before attending, and bring their CAA reference number.
- Pilots for FAA medicals must complete an application on Medxpress before attending, and bring their confirmation number.
- Pilots holding a FAA special issuance must bring it to the examination.
- All drivers must bring the DVLA D4 or local authority forms with them. They will need to know the details of any medicines taken.
- Additionally, taxi drivers must bring a paper copy of their medical records from their GP; a summary of those records is usually sufficient.
- Please bring an interpreter if not able to understand medical questions, and answer them.
- Everyone is welcome to be accompanied. Please read the chaperone policy.
